The challenge

Rugvedic Ventures, founded by Rugved in Pune, works directly with Himalayan valleys and craftspeople. They had three very different ranges: high-altitude foods like honey, ghee and shilajit, handcrafted copper, brass and kansa cookware, and ritual goods like havan kits, soaps and sambrani. They needed one premium online store that tells the story behind every product, takes real payments, sells to customers abroad and meets food-labelling rules, without turning into three separate websites to look after.

Our approach

We designed and built the platform from scratch as one codebase that runs three brands, each with its own home: The Only Retreats for Himalayan foods (/products), Roots and Ore for metal cookware (/dhatu) and Divya for ritual goods (/divya). The look is calm and editorial: big landscape photography, a Sanskrit line on every product and the altitude and valley it comes from, so each jar feels like a place, not a SKU. Behind it is a complete store: cart, Razorpay checkout, customer accounts and an admin panel the team runs themselves.

What we built

  • 01

    Full checkout, end to end

Cart → Razorpay payment → a saved order with every item and the delivery address, ready for dispatch.

  • 02

    Customer accounts

Sign-in with Clerk, order history, a wishlist and saved addresses for faster repeat orders.

  • 03

    Sells beyond India

Multi-currency pricing, so international customers see prices in their own currency.

  • 04

    Food-label compliance

FSSAI compliance panels on the ghee and honey pages, plus all the legal pages a store needs.

  • 05

    Run by the team

An admin panel for products, orders and articles, so nothing needs a developer day to day.

  • 06

    “From Our Journal”

A blog managed from the admin panel, telling the stories of the valleys and the people behind each product.

  • 07

    Built to be found

Sitemap, robots.txt and structured data in place, with Google Search Console verified and the sitemap submitted.

  • 08

    Media that stays fast

Product photography served through Cloudinary, hosted on Vercel.

The results

The Only Retreats is live at theonlyretreats.com, taking real orders across all three brands from one store that the team manages themselves.

01

Three brands, one store

Foods, cookware and ritual goods share one cart, one checkout and one admin.

02

Real orders, live

Payments run through Razorpay and every order is saved with its items and address.

03

Ready to grow

SEO groundwork, a journal and a CMS (Sanity) set up for the next phase.
